Overview of the writing section in PTE

The writing section of the Pearson Test of English (PTE) exam includes two types of questions that assess your writing skills:

  1. Essay: This task requires you to write a 200-300 word essay on a given topic in a time limit of 20 minutes. You will be evaluated on your ability to organize your ideas, use appropriate grammar and vocabulary, and present a clear and well-supported argument.
  2. Summarize Written Text: This task requires you to read a passage of text and summarize the main points in one sentence. You will be evaluated on your ability to identify the most important information and present it in a concise and coherent manner.

Both of these tasks require you to have good writing skills and advanced knowledge of English grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure. To perform well in the writing section, it’s important to practice writing regularly and to familiarize yourself with the format and types of questions on the PTE exam.
