Now talking about how you guys did last time, most of you had a problem with repeat sentence as compared to other questions. Now, you might be wondering, is repeat sentence important? And do we need to focus on this question or not. There are two things to keep in mind while doing repeat sentence when it comes to scoring. First is for speaking itself, repeat sentence is not that important, because in speaking, they focus more on your fluency and pronunciation, the content itself becomes less important. But for listening, if you have been struggling with that, it’s an important question. And if you’re not careful you might be losing your score in listening. So it’s very important that you try to improve your skill in repeat sentence, I could see that almost all of you were struggling to get more than 50% of sentence correct. And if this happens in the test, it’s going to be a trouble, although I know that the questions that you did in our mock test, they are actually a little longer than what you will get in the test but it’s still as much as you can practice and make sure that you can cover more than 50% of the sentence. Now, let’s just start with the speaking read aloud.
Okay, read aloud. So in reading aloud, you can get up to seven questions, five to seven questions in the test you will get more time than shown in here, you get there on 40 seconds to prepare yourself and another 40 seconds to speak. Now, in normal human conversation, these kind of things are not important. Because being humans, we can easily understand these things. But for computer, because they rely on measuring certain parameters, if they feel like the voice is dropping, they tend to integrate this in a wrong way. So it’s, it’s really important that you stay consistent if you think you are a person with a softer voice, but you know that your voice is not that soft, that people cannot understand you. In that case, you don’t need to change anything. But don’t try to make it too loud. If you cannot maintain it, if you are planning to speak louder, than make sure that you can stay loud throughout the test. So never do something like this.
