You want to join The Best PTE Class! But how will you know which is the best PTE class? These days, there are so many options available and all of them have their own strengths and weaknesses but as a student when you’re looking for the PTE classes it’s really important that you find something that works for you.
That starts with your research which may involve checking the success rate of that centre or free pte trial class. You may even be tempted to look for the pte classes near you.
However, before you do your research, you need to have some questions in your mind and what I mean by that is you need to know what you are actually looking for or what you’ll need to get the score you desire.
Many students tell us that they’re looking for 90 in PTE or want to score 79 although they do not know how to get it. If you do not have a good English language skill or you do not have access to good practice materials or you do not know much about the PTE academic test, then in such cases, it can be difficult to go to the real exam and get the score your desire.
Based on my own my experience of the last few years, I believe there are five things you should always think of when you are preparing for pte test or looking for a class to prepare for the test.
If you are looking to score 50 but sitting in a class where most of the people are studying to score 79, most of the things discussed in the class might go over your head. The same is true when the scenario is just the opposite.
Therefore, when you are looking for coaching centres, check if they keep all the students regardless of their desired score in the same class or they segregate students based on their desired score. Remember, you just need the right level of coaching for your desired pte score, nothing more, nothing less.
Another important Point to keep in mind is to look for the centres which have been highly recommended by the students. Almost all the institutes will try to convince you how good they are but the best way to find out how good they actually are is to speak with students who have taken or are taking a class there.
If you have a friend who is going to a particular Institute where you are planning to go, sit down with that person and ask him some questions that you would like to ask or test before you join that centre, Also remember that Your friend cannot make this decision for you. You’re asking these question so that you have enough information before you make your own decision.
There is no need to feel compelled to go to a place just because your acquaintances are going there. But if they are going there, then it’s an opportunity for you to get all the information about that particular place without actually going there, paying for their service or spending your time.
Study Materials & Practice Materials
The first step in ensuring your score in PTE is by acquiring the skills which are important to answer the questions asked in the exam. In order to do this, you need to make sure that you are getting information, tips and tricks from authentic sources.
Moreover, you must also get an opportunity to revise these materials as many times as you like. Therefore make sure that you can get a copy of the study materials discussed in the class, and it’s even better if these materials are available online too.
In PTE preparation, practice materials play a very important role. The first reason for this is that it helps you to know what kind of questions you can expect to get in the real exam so that you can prepare yourself at that level. At the same time, questions repeat a lot in PTE.
As a result, if you have a good idea of the kind of questions you can get in the exam or let’s say you have done the same question that you are likely to get in the exam, your chances of getting your desired score is much better.
The best way to check the language proficiency required for PTE test is by doing mock test. Mock tests help you get familiar with the exam structure, learn time management skills, make your familiar with the exam stress, minimise performance anxiety and more importantly help you assess your level before the actual test.
While joining an institute, it would be wise to check if you can get mock tests and whether you can do them from anywhere or not. Also, if you can get a score card along with detailed feedback on your performance, that will help identify the sections and question types which you should focus on to get your desired score.
Online Coaching Access
Another important factor to look into is the availability of online access. Most of you are students or people working somewhere. As a result, it may not be practical for you to carry the practice questions or books with you all the time. However, you always carry your phone with you.
Therefore, check with the PTE coaching centre whether they provide you with the physical materials as well as online access. This will make it easy for you to get 90 in PTE.
These are some of the things I think are important for your preparation. If you know something that I did not mention here but can be useful please write in the comments and help people make the right decision.
All the best!!
