Tony Hanks:

Hello, Good Morning. My name is Tony Hanks and I am an officer of Department of Immigration and Citizenship of Australia. I am conducting a preliminary interview with you about your application.

Hello Mr. Tony. Yes, I had lodged an application saying that I want to be protected as refugee in this country.

Tony:

Okay. The Department and other Australian authorities will decide whether you are a refugee or not. But, in this interview, I have to ask you few questions related to your application.

Okay. I will truthfully answer all your questions. But, since I have not slept for last two days, I am very weak and tired.

Tony:

I understand that you may have suffered a lot. But, as per the requirement of our laws and regulations, you have to answer at least few questions now. You can sit for the detailed interview later.

Firstly, I want to inform you that the passport that I have is forged. I have paid AUD5,000 to get a forged VISA and AUD 10,000 for forged passport.

Tony:

Thank you for providing right information. Now, I am going to start recording our conversation so that we can have accurate recording of what is said here. I need you to answer few important questions.

Sure. But, can I talk to one of my friends before answering? I want to ask him a question related to a very important issue.

Tony:

At this stage, you have to answer some important questions first. Hence, you won’t be able to able to talk to anyone before answering those questions. After the interview, you can contact your friend.

I want to get help of a solicitor. I wanted to talk to my friend for that. I think this request is very reasonable. Do you have any problem with this request?
